Whiskers on Wednesday

Today is my first contribution to a new weekly blog group- Whiskers on Wednesday. I found them thru one of my Ravelry Groups, "Under the Spell of an Orange Cat" (Poppy is my Redhead) & couldn't resist the urge to spread some "cat love", since you know how goofy I am about my girls :-)

______________________________________________

This is Dahlia, the youngest of our bouquet (all our girls are named after flowers); she was adopted from a local rescue group three years ago to be a companion to her older "sister" Poppy. The woman in charge warned us that while she was clean, healthy, & litterbox trained, she was a little too wild & high-strung to ever really be a "people cat".

Piffle. The woman knows nothing.

You can tell by her face that she's a real little character. She also sports a number of nicknames: Dilly-Dal, Dog-Cat, Pickle (as in "always getting into a"), & Boo (short for Boo-Boo Kitty). Her stories of mayham & disaster are legion, but her most endearing traits are her terminally sunny disposition, her crazy gap-tooth smile & baby "mew", & her utter devotion to "her people".

Ya know, I love cats, but they just don't love me. So allergic. Dahlia would be my bud if I could be a bud to a kitty.

Dahlia is such a beauty

Dahlia is beautiful. Never trust the word of a person selling/giving a pet. I think they're like children... you never really know what they're capable of until you've raised thema year or two. ;)
happy weekend to you! (starting early here cause Sam's long overdue surprise birthday party is tomorrow!)

What great pic's. I love cats. I had two but when we moved we had to give one to my in-laws as we are only allowed one animal. Unfortunately they took the friendly one and I have the shy one. But I still love her, as she only cuddles with me at night.

It is good to meet your kitties and my two say hi to your three. Each cat is so unique in personality and in looks. We have a boy cat who selected us by showing up in our back yard, and looking hopefully into our kitchen and a girl cat who we adopted when she was a wee baby, and our friend's cat had kittens.
